FDA approves first pill meant to end periods

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18745930/

So in this article a pill has been approved by the FDA to end womens Menstruation Cycle. Well this is pretty interesting i think. Obviously I do not get periods, but I think that this subject is worthy of a disucssion. I think that this pill would be good for some but not others such stated in the article. I agree that it is a normal part of life and doesnt need to be medicated, maybe regulated at times for those who choose so. I mean life survived fine without birth control for so long. They are supposed to get it. But for those women who get it hard i think it would be a good idea. But defintly only in those situations would it be ok. Anyways Thoughts?

Could I be any further away

What's up everybody? I have arrived safely in Alaska, I arrived here at Denali around 12:OO pm today better known as 4:00pm to the east coast. In all it took roughly 30 hours to get up here, we had to spend the nigt at the Anchoridge airport to catch the shuttle to Denali early in the morning witch took nealry 6 hours. It's unbelievibly beautiful up here, We watched an Alaskan sunset from the plane last night around 1:00 am it was spectacular, flying over the glaciers, woooooo!

I have some funny footage on my camcorder but no way to hook it up to my computer, and I have no way to hook up the digital camera to the computer because I left the USB in Buffalo. I will try to get some pics up from my friend Matt's digi tomorrow night. There's a million things to do up here so hopefully I'll have some good stories. The only good one I have right now is of a homosexual type man crying at the airport last night on his cell phone with someone named "Suzy" or was it "Susie" anyway he was pretty histarical, apperntly people were hastling him and he just broke down. Sucks for him, but pretty funny for Matt and I who continued to play Go Fish.

Well, that's all I've got from up here, I should get some sleep because I haven't slept in days. I will try to have some video tomorrow (I'll shoot it with the I Sight) and show you guys just how beatiful the sun shines at midnight.

Respect,
Mr. Greg

"READING IS SO BORING!"

In this high tech, fast food, on-the-double planet, it comes as no surprise that CNN.com has introduced "Story Highlights":

(SOURCE: CNN.com)

Instead of reading an entire article to grasp the full scope of a story, you can now spend more time playing online games and less time learning something about the word outside your computer monitor.

I am looking forward to the introduction of cnnsparknotes.com. What fun!

A Pictorial

I have decided to make a pictorial blog (yeah I said it,) entry of what is wrong with America.

Now, friends, keep in mind this was an endeavour based only on about a 3 minute span through the MySpaces' "COOL NEW PEOPLE LOL" category:

"BUT JEF WUT U MEAN 14 YEAR OLDS SMOKE BLUNTS?!1" Yeah, man they fuckin' do whip-its from whipped cream cans too.

One more bit of interesting information before I end this completely fucking random post.

Did you know that there are more than two teams in Major League Baseball? "NO and here I wuz thinkin it only was the Yankees and Red Sox LOL"

Well, son, just because they only make Yankees caps in 329,847,509 colors and styles doesn't mean you can exclude important teams like the Kansas City Royals and the Los Angeles Angels.

DO YOU NOT REMEMBER ANGELS IN THE OUTFIELD? Your own childhood is mad at you, man. 1.21 gigawatts is right, Christopher Lloyd.

1.21 gigawatts indeed.

Enyclopedia of Life

I just learned about this website this morning:

The Encyclopedia of Life

It's just a prototype right now, but it would be incredible to see something like this get accomplished for all known species on the planet. The things you could learn from it are never-ending. There are some sample pages detailing the features the database would have. You should check it out though!

What do you mean you can't post images in comments?

Yeah so there's nothing better to do then waste away the evening when you have TWO FINAL EXAMS in the morning/afternoon. Eh, so what. I'm in good shape for the later one, the other one... well, that's what I'm going to go take care of right now

Terrorism the Sequel

(check out Jeff's earlier post on terrorism)

New movie coming out, hmm, i think later this summer called: Civic Duty. Yes, CIVIC DUTY. Basically a live action take on South Park's "The Snuke" episode. Only serious. From Apple.com:

Angry and depressed over losing his job, accountant Terry Allen begins to suspect his new neighbor, a single Islamic grad student with a penchant for unexplained late night activities, is at the center of a terrorist conspiracy. Although both Terry’s wife and the FBI agent to whom he reports his suspicions are skeptical about his fears, Terry becomes increasingly obsessed with uncovering the man’s true identity.
Now, heres the poster. Check out he tagline at the vary bottom of the poster...

ARE YOU DOING YOURS?
Nice message. You can almost hear the division between americans and everyone else rip a little more as you read that nice little sentence.

Some other good do-ers, who all seem to look alike:

Poetic Justice (Title borrowed from nhl.com)

Sorry everyone, obligatory NHL playoffs post follows:

The Buffalo Sabres captain Chris Drury tied game 5 with 7.7 seconds lefin the third period to take it into overtime. 4:30 something into the first overtime, Maxim Afinogenov scored to take the series lead of 3-2 over the NY Rangers.

Maxim Afinogenov, who had been benched the previous game for a lack of production, earned his place once more in the eyes of the team's fans.

The Sabres earned that win, because they dominated the entire game up and down the ice, but they just could not figure out how to beat the goalie, who was incredible. Both goalies have been incredible this whole series, making games 3,4, and 5 come to 2-1 decisions. I had the pleasure of having my first Buffalo Sabre run-in 2 nights before, seeing none other than Maxim Afinogenov himself eating with new teammate Dainius Zubrus at the Fuji Grill. They were seated after we got our drinks, in the table right behind us, and it was pretty crazy. But I didn't want to be "that fan," so none of the 10 of us said anything to them. But I can honestly say if the dinner and this last game had switched their order, I probably would have gone over and shook his hand. I could only imagine what the feeling would be for someone who is native to Buffalo. I have only lived here and followed the Sabres for 2 years, and it's pretty crazy even to me.

Yeah, so it was crazy. And we got to see the game from right outside the arena, with around 6,000 other people. For all the playoff games they have a "Party in the Plaza," which involves bands, other festivities, and a jumo-tron TV screen broadcasting the game live, which was going on right inside the HSBC arena tonight. Think of the loudest concert you have ever been to. Yes, the one where you were right next to the huge speaker the entire show. When the Sabres tied the game, this parking lot went INSANE. Louder than that concert you have been to. Way louder. And when the game was won, forget about it. Out of the arena poured 18,000 ticket holders, with a solid half hour of high fives, screaming, chants, horn-honking, and the like. Walking several blocks to find a vacant train station was a blast too, with hundreds of people walking down a car congested road, with most of the cars honking the tune of "lets go buffalo."

All in all, it was one hell of a game to be in the mix of downtown for. Downtown Buffalo is amazing, and the people here are great. It was one incredible atmosphere, and it will remain a memory to me for a while. But for now, I'm going to bed early because that sort of thing wore me the fuck out. Night.

Animal Rights!

is a bunch of bull - no pun intended

“We’re vegetarians, we are against animal cruelty, so why would I be cruel to my son? Why would I do something with his body? We are against animals being murdered, why would we be cruel to him and try to do something to his body,” asked Lamont Thomas.

Mr. Thomas here is pleading with a judge after he was found guilty for murdering his new born son. Rest of the story. I think you can also find it on the front page to CNN. Whatever happened to Human Rights? or is that too yesterday? The day the animals come before human beings is the day we lose our soul.

This Just In

That's it, everyone. It has truly been my pleasure to have been able to write for you all this time. But the world is coming to an end.

I know this because while on a casual Google search for some shrimp recipes, I cam across something. I came across this little gem of a website, and it is (to me,) the sign that the world is surely coming to an end.

I don't want to spoil the fun with the name in the link...

And not in the biblical sense, but in the sense that PEOPLE ACTUALLY THINK THIS WAY and teach this flabbergasting bullshit to their children. Oh, how the endless circular cycle goes on for eternity. And here I thought the god hates fags site was bad... this is just. Silly? Ridiculous? How about simply fucking unbelievable.

So Time Warner decided that it would be OK for 500,000 high speed internet users to go without service for 3 days. Because I didn't need to retrieve power point slides from the internet for an exam on Monday...

What do we get? "Attention western New York customers: our engineers are working diligently to correct a problem causing no connectivity for high speed internet users." No reason explaining what happened. And I checked the Time Warner site from school, and they give no information whatsoever. Thanks, Time Warner!
